When many people (outsiders) think of Baltimore, the first thing that comes to mind is the Wire, the crime and violence, the 300-plus murders a year, vacant homes, trash, rats. However, there is so much more to US. There is innovation, technology, development and inspiration. There is the Aquarium and the Basilica. There is Thurgood and the Babe. There is education. There is religion. There is politics and bullisht. There are Ravens and Orioles. Blue Jays and Greyhounds, Bears and Eagles. Quakers and Crusaders. Poets and Engineers. There is neighborhood pride, from Pigtown to 36th Street in Hampden and all the way over to Greenmount and North Avenues. Bird City Designs is a product of it all. Everything we do, every word we utter, everything that carries the BCD label is a product of our love and hate for the city that made us.
